BELLY FULL OF ELECTRICITY
Exciting stuff is on its way - Portraying ‘the crowd,’ my response to community and how the world has change.
We will adapt to this change … I AM SURE …
The painting; acrylic on glass, a conglomeration of humans, united as one!
It is a great privilege to be chosen to represent the community around Lancashire, ‘Blackburn and Darwen’ in particular, in such a colourful, large-scale painting. The glass, to be painted on, is situated opposite the iconic King Georges Hall. I have seen bands from the likes of The Fall, to the aptly named Lancashire hotpots. I have enjoyed many, many ‘others,’ too many gigs to list, even pantomime productions and crooners, I’ve even walked across the stage here, my graduation times two.
I will enjoy this Blackburn with Darwen Commission, hugely. Blackburn holds a great deal of my heart, I studied FE here, in my quest to better my ‘self’ as a complete wholeness. Gaining great quantities of happy, silly memories in and around Blackburn, since way back when and, I still have time and intention to amass many more.

Brilliant, to have an opportunity to paint in the shadow of both the King Georges Hall and, Blackburn's fantastic red brick mighty Victoria building, each stood watching over crowd and community.
