TOO POSH FOR ME
IM HAVING AN IDEA : re my new ‘book’
… contemplating a newspaper / zine publication
Reminiscent of - the pile of newspapers = A BAG OF CHIPS ...
Northern and true a bag of chips for me and you! When I was young and extremely hungry, our local chip shop offered, in return for a pile of newspapers – A BAG OF CHIPS ... this was an age-old food bank at its beginning (for me anyways). The way in which the community could offered FREE food. I say free loosely, as it cost the time to knock on people's doors en-route to said chip shop and ask “any newspapers guvnor” ... This was how I helped myself to the larder ‘so to speak’ WE ARE NOT ALL IN THE SAME FUCKING BOAT.
I now pose the question; how many of you had to do this to make sure you got fed, to survive? I guess not many of the toff’s have EVER experienced such a pain in your belly, that as a shy youth, you could knock on a door and ask the question of shame!
CAN I HAVE SOMETHING OF YOURS … for free – to help feed me!

Artistic … her book publications – are simply exquisite.
The Zine/ newspaper has many more familiarities for me to engage with.
It's like a blanket for the poorest - to the DIY ethics of my punk rock upbringing! VIVA LE ROCK as Vivien Westwood's shirt screamed out on my brothers back all so many moons ago!!
